And what did work.
First, what I want to do different:
Bring my lunch more often
Get outside and breathe real air during my break
Study in my office at least two hours daily
Do notes and THEN keep up my outline each night
What did work
Study group - I love them like a little family!
Keeping my outlines going all semester - *I hope this one worked, we will see eh?
Leaving law school earlier and arriving earlier
Keeping some balance - exercise, family, etc
I'm getting antsy about grades, as I know is quite common. But more than wanting to know how I did, I want to know what I need to alter. I feel pretty sure that it is best to keep those outlines fresh all the time - I had literally nothing to do to mine by the end of the semester, and I think it would have taken alot of my time to start them around Thanksgiving. HOWEVER - I do have to wonder if the students who waited to make their outlines, might have had a better refresher on the material overall. So in the coming semester the main change I plan to make is in taking notes during class and then transforming them into an outline at the end of each week - that is the plan right now, but it may change. I mean, if I realy rocked exams, I'm not going to change the way I did things. But if I didn't do so well, then I want to alter my study habits accordingly.
Speaking of exams and rocking them - I want to say now that if I got any As I will be a happy happy girl. If I got all Bs I will jump for joy. If I got Bs and Cs mixed, I will sigh relief and be ok. Anything else and I will really have to bust ass to keep my gpa up = but unless I totally failed (and I don't really think I did), I am not going to kick myself. Hold me to that, ok?

What I need to not do next semester:
- watch over people's shoulders as they play solitaire in class. it's a terrible habit.
I know what you mean about the nervewrecking anticipation. I've had my marks back for a while but in the limbo of waiting I checked several times a day and had a hotline of people who would let me know the moment they realised marks were up. They often turned into the support groups when people realised the marks they got, ha.
I aggree. Im a 1l elsewhere (probably) and I have realized that things that seemed so difficult during the first semester, should come more easily during the second. Of course, there gona throw more on us now. I think outlining as you go is the way, but i haven't gotten grades yet either
Different outlining styles work for different people, so I don't really have any advice on that, but I have to say I'm impressed by your attitude toward grades. Most of us come into law school with fantastic grades in undergrad, so we expect to keep it up, then are shocked when we see our first B, much less our first, OMG, C!!!
